The fore most Swami Narayn Temple in the world is situated at
Kalupur in Ahmedabad. The elaborate wooden carvings and intricate
patterns in Gujarati architecture in and around the temple is worth
viewing.
One of the important tourist destinations in Ahmedabad, this temple
stands behind the huge gates and brightly painted walls, across
Relief Road. There are beautiful domes and galleries which have been
intricately designed.
The lawns outside the temple are also amazing. The temple has been
designed in typical Haveli style and houses nine tombs which are
also known as 'Nau Gaz Pir' or 'Nine Yard Saints', in the southern
part of the temple.
