Situated North of the city, Rani Rupmati's mosque was built
between 1430-1440 AD. The fa,ous mosque was built by Sultan Mehmud
Beghara who also named it after his Hindu wife, Rupmati.
There are three domes inside the mosque supported by pillars. The
central dome is slightly elevated and lits up the mosque with
natural light. The mosque is an example of synthesized Hindu and
Muslim architecture.
Although the mosque has beautifully carved dome supported by 12
pillars, at the central hall, it lost its minarets in the earthquake
