About: Famous for its Ashokan Rock Edicts, junagadh is
located at the foot of Girnar Hills in Gujarat. Girnar hills are
famous for its Jain Temples with most artistic masterpieces of Jaina
architecture. There are several forts, palaces and museums situated
accross the city which are major tourist attractions here.
A visit to these forts and edifices from past can be very
informative as well as enthralling. Most interesting of all are 14
edicts inscribed by Emperor Ashoka in Pali script. Latter on these
edicts were added in Sanskrit by Rudradama and Skandgupta. There
are centuries old Buddhist caves and well carved forts as well. You
can experience the marvels from the past at Junagarh.

By Air: Nearest Airport is Keshod (40km), Porbandar(113 km).
By Road: State Transport Buses, private coaches and taxis
are best to reach Junagarh via road route.
By Rail: Direct trains are available from Ahmedabad to reach
Junagarh.
