Gandhinagar
Location: 34km from Ahmedabad.
About: Named after Mahatma Gandhi, Gandhi Nagar is capital
of State of Gujarat. Built on western banks of Sabarmati river, it
is second planned city of India after Chandigarh. There are several
places located here which have great significance for tourists
coming to India.
The Vithal-bhai Patel Bhawan or Bidhan Sabha surrounded by a lake is
a great example of architecture as are the Sardar Bhawan and Narmada
Bhawan. At the Children's Park in sector 28, there is a mini train
for entertainment. In sector 9, there is the picnicker's paradise,
Sarita Udyan. This park sets adjoining to Deer Park which is a
favourite of people of all ages. The latest city light is the Swami
Narayan Temple Complex sprawling over an area of 23 acres.

Akshardham Complex Most prominnet of all Akshardham
temples in India, it is dedicated to Lord Swami Narayn.
Deer Park(Geer Foundation) Visit here to spot some of
the rarest species of deers.
Children Garden Best place for your children to run
around and go boisterous.

By Road: Since Gandhinagar is located at a short distance of
34km, road route is the best. You also have an option of hiring a
private coach or taxi. State Transport Buses are also available.
