Location: About 400km from Ahmedabad.
About: Famous for its scenic beauty, Diu is yet another
important get away destination from Ahmedabad. Diu's crowning glory
is its huge fort, limestone cliffs, rocky caves and sandy beaches.
Like Daman, Diu was also a Portuguese Colony for some centuries.
Today, it is a union territory and administered by Government of
India.
Diu is very popular destination among travelers. You can hire
bicycles and move around the place with utmost pleasure. Its beaches

time to visit Diu is from October to May.
Places of Interest:
Diu Beaches – Soak up the sun at beaches made up of
cliffs and rocky pools. There are four beaches to choose from,
Nagoa, Jallandhar, Chakratirth and Gogla Beach.
Diu Fort – Have a view a magnificent view of the sea
from this fort and find centuries old cannon balls littering the
area.
Nagar Sethi Haveli – One of the oldest Portuguese
mansions in Diu.
Accessibility:
By Air: Direct flights are available to Diu. Airport is just
5km away.
By Rail: Innumerable trains operate between Ahmedabad and
Diu.
By Road: You can take direct bus to Bhavnagar and then
change for another bus to Diu. You can hire a private taxi as well
for direct journey.
