Yet another important Railway Station in Ahmedabad is Maninagar.
It is believed that Maninagar had no Railway Station earlier. So people
requested the railway for a Flag Station. The Railway Authorities agreed
on a condition that if at least 50 tickets are sold per day, they would
think for it. So few people from Maninagar used to buy tickets even if
not required to make the total of 50 per day, so that they can get
Railway Station. After sometime the trains started to stop as Railway
Authorities were satisfied for the purchases of the tickets. This was
the starting of development after Railway Station. Today, it is a halt
station for some of the important trains coming to Ahmedabad.
