Sidi Syaid Mosque , Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad is the 6th largest city in India and 27th in the world. It was the temporary capital of Sate of Gujarat, situated in western part of India. The place has been the epicenter of many developments that have taken place in our country. The city is an amalgam of both traditions and modernization with flamboyant culture and flourishing industries co existing. The Homeland of Mahatma is famous for its magnificent architecture, thriving industries, spacious wildlife and stretches of unspoiled beaches. The city was named after Sultan Ahmed Shah who founded this place in 1411AD. The Sultan graced the city with architecturally splendid monuments which are now associated with Mahatma Gandhi. Ahmedabad has combined contrasts with contradictions. Ahmedabad is second largest city in the Western India. Even the textile industries here are the second largest in the country. An intriguing combination of ancient and modern exists side-by side here as the many Indo-Saracenic mosques.

Ahmedabad is truly a triumph city which has lived a glorious past and continues to hold its old-world charm with strong headed visions of the future and forging into space age. The world class educational institutes for studying management, engineering and advertising are also located in the city which makes it the education hub of India.
