Ahmedabad is the 6th largest city in India and 27th in the
world. It was the temporary capital of Sate of Gujarat, situated in
western part of India. The place has been the epicenter of many
developments that have taken place in our country. The city is an
amalgam of both traditions and modernization with flamboyant culture
and flourishing industries co existing. The Homeland of Mahatma is
famous for its magnificent architecture, thriving industries,
spacious wildlife and stretches of unspoiled beaches. It will be an
unforgettable experience to visit this city.
The city was named after Sultan Ahmed Shah who founded this place
in 1411AD. The Sultan graced the city with architecturally splendid
monuments which are now associated with Mahatma Gandhi. Ahmedabad
has combined contrasts with contradictions. Ahmedabad is second
largest city in the Western India. Even the textile industries here
are the second largest in the country. An intriguing combination of
ancient and modern exists side-by side here as the many
Indo-Saracenic mosques.
Ahmedabad is truly a triumph city which has lived a glorious past
and continues to hold its old-world charm with strong headed visions
of the future and forging into space age. The world class
educational institutes for studying management, engineering and
advertising are also located in the city which makes it the
education hub of India.
