Education is considered as transmission of civilization. The
process of forwarding the existent knowledge and learning new things
in life. No civilization could have grown without this process of
passing on the acquisitions of wisdom.
Ahmedabad is one of the oldest cities in India. The city has evolved
over the centuries and it has been able to make its distinctive
place in the field of education for children.
Innumerable management, advertising and arts, engineering,
vocational and design institutes are located at Ahmedabad which are
not only imparting quality education to its students but have stood
up to the international standards.
The Indian Institute of Management, Mudra Institute of
Communication, Xavier's College of Arts and Commerce are a few gems
that have added to the glory of education in Ahmedabad. Students,
not only from India but across the globe, compete to get into some
of these world renowned colleges.
About half a hundred government aided and private institutes are
running in the state of Gujarat, most of them located at Ahmedabad.
The two major universities of the reign are: Gujarat University and
Gujarat Vidyapeeth.
